MY NAME IS... LOUISE ROE

The latest instalment of our series of interviews with stylish and accomplished women is with Louise Roe.

An ambassador for female mentoring association Step Up and children’s hospital charity "Spread A Smile", she also found time to write a book, “Front Roe”. Louise recently returned to London after 11 years in Los Angeles and has put her keen eye for interiors into practice with her design brand Sharland England, which focuses on antiques and handmade rattan must-haves.

WHICH PLACE OR DESTINATION GIVES YOU THE SUNSHINE FEELING?

Bali. I haven't been there for a while but it's a truly happy, relaxing place.

WHICH WOMAN CAPTIVATED YOU GROWING UP?

I remember seeing an image of Yasmin le Bon on the cover of Elle in the early '90's and knowing I wanted to work in fashion, somehow! She was so naturally beautiful, and elegant...and still is.

WHAT ARE YOU MANIFESTING FOR 2022?

A little more balance, and a little more travel!

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DANCED BAREFOOT IN THE SAND?

l cannot even remember, so definitely time for more travel!

WHERE DO YOU GO TO RECONNECT?

The English countryside for a long walk and pub lunch. Or I'll take myself off to a museum on my own and get really lost in learning about a completely different era. It sounds so nerdy, but I find it very therapeutic.

WHERE DO YOU GO IN YOUR DAYDREAMS?

They truly vary, depending what kind of mood I'm in. But now that I have launched my homewares brand Sharland England, I'm usually cooking up new designs in my mind, and wondering how to bring them to life.
