INTRODUCING CHERRY BLOSSOM GIRL

CHERRY BLOSSOM GIRL

For our Autumn Winter collection, we’re whisking you into a faraway fantasy; a story-rich daydream evoked by the mesmerizing beauty of Asian art and natural landscapes. While hunting for treasures in her usual Notting Hill haunts, Hayley became captivated by two mid-century vintage finds – a traditional Chinese bowl and a vase originating from Japan. These antique ornaments hold the key to a collection of day to evening pieces rich in East Asian references, fused together with our own eclectic Portobello attitude.
Explore effortlessly glamorous silhouettes in feminine in-house designed prints, adorned with artisanal intricacies that demonstrate our love of craft and commitment to creating the vintage of the future.

THE MEANING

A ‘cherry blossom girl’ embodies the mesmerising beauty and fleeting nature of the famous Sakura season. Elusive, charming and the epitome of female mystique – consider this your new personality for the season ahead.

The Cherry Blossom Girl print is as much a manifestation of the Japanese tradition of Hanami as it is the twinkly electro-pop song from which it takes its name. This season’s animal totem is the tiger – a symbol of courage and strength – set loose among clouds and dreamlike chinoiserie.

BEHIND THE PRINTS

True to Hayley’s hunter-gather style, two mid-century vintage finds – a traditional Chinese bowl and a vase originating from Japan – inspire this season’s intricate leading prints. Bold chequer is lifted from the porcelain and reworked, while the vase’s high-flying birds and florals have been translated into watercolour by none other than Hayley’s father John.

SOUNDS OF THE SEASON

Japanese synths, French electro-pop, contemporary West London's finest and everything in between. Listen to the sounds of our new season.

As part of our Future Vintage initiative, we’ve partnered with Continue, a luxury resale app that makes rehoming our pieces easy so they may continue to be loved elsewhere once their time with you has come to an end.
